Royal Visit

As a result of winning the Wales Award from The Prince’s Foundation for Integrated Health in May 2009, HRH The Prince of Wales & HRH The Duchess of Cornwall came to visit EcoDysgu on June 24th 2009 to see for themselves what goes on at the centre.
Young people from Yellow Wales, BCBC’s Youth Service and Bettws Youth participated, showing the Royal Couple pole lathe bodging, gardening, art and metal forging. Complementary therapies were also on offer during the day, with some of the young people, now trained themselves, offering Indian Head Massage.
It was a great opportunity for us all to show just how much we have achieved and what is possible when people work together in support of each other. Special thanks go to Coychurch W.I. for serving up the most delicious cream teas!
Their Royal Highnesses were delighted with their visit, they expressed that they felt it was a remarkable place.
